HR Tool Business Game
An interactive assessment tool


The Business Game is an interactive tool with an actual content that is used in a selection procedure to support the evaluation of individual competencies and to make group discussions more dynamic. The game functions online and presents a fictitious, but actual business environment.
With a limited budget and time as stress factors, the participants have to face a number of challenges and they are forced to reach consensus through a group discussion. From the Business Game the participants receive immediate feedback about the achievements and they are assessed based on a number of specific indicators.
Because the various teams’ scores are visible on a score board, a healthy competition will develop between the teams. This is the ideal tool to work in a young and interactive way with assessment.
 

Practically


The Business Game consists of an electronic score board to facilitate the group discussion.
The input to play the game follows from actual content about a fictitious company, but relating to contemporary subjects such as work/life balance, diversity management and personal development. The participants first make an individual achievement, next the team discusses a number of recommendations, offered to make the right choices within the company.
The game is organised in such a way that online feedback is given by means of a score.
This score is based on an evaluation according to a number of parameters: turnover, staff satisfaction, client satisfaction and innovation.
This concept allows for the participants to be observed both individually and in group. It also encourages participants to show their best side.


Target group


With this tool, companies, who recruit a large number of ‘young’ and/or ‘high’ potentials, will acquire an assessment simulation that appeals to the target group and that invites to achieve good results and show good performance.
