Methodology
At Quintessence Consulting we attach a great deal of importance to the scientific substantiation of the advice we formulate and the interventions we carry out. Over the past twenty years we have evolved from a highly empirical, behaviouristic and cognitivistic bias to a balance between empirism and social constructivism.
The objective observation and registration of human behaviour is the basis of our work. In aiming for as high a level of objectivity as possible, we work continually on our methods and techniques, within the context of both assessment and personal development.
We are, however, convinced that a qualitative intervention, either at an organisational level or for a team or individual, can only be 'top quality' if we combine our professional quality based on objectivity with special attention to relational quality. From that point of view, a high-quality dialogue is an essential part of our service.
In recent years, competency management has further developed and grown, partly under the influence of Quintessence's activities. Competency management is no longer a management tool and part of HRM, but guides various processes in the field of human resources management. The personnel policy of the 1980s has now become competency-driven HRM.
